A trained journalist with an investigative news background, Rosanne Hart parlayed her 10-year background in journalism into a career in public relations. In 1982, after editing a national fashion trade newspaper for six years, and heading up public relations for the world's largest apparel mart, The Dallas Apparel Mart, Ms. Hart founded The Hart Agency as the first national public relations firm in Dallas specializing in fashion. In 1984, Hart was instrumental in bringing national attention to Dallas' fashion industry by developing Harper's Bazaar's first and second editorial sections on Dallas, and Vogue Magazine's first focus on Dallas. This fashion focus has imbued a sense of style, class and elegance to each and every campaign or project undertaken by Hart, whether it be for a restaurant, retail shopping center, Asian hedge fund, healthcare concern, financial services firm, mass-market beauty retailer, or luxury retailer like the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche stores. Because of the agency's strong media and journalism orientation, Hart has successfully placed clients in America's most high-profile and prestigious media, from The Wall Street Journal and USA Today, to The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Today Show, CBS's Morning Show, CNN, PBS and special LIFETIME television programming. Extensive media relationships continue to be maintained with all of the major women's magazines, as well as with top consumer and business media in the Dallas and Texas market. Hart's emphasis on excellence has resulted in garnering numerous professional awards, among them Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) Silver Spur, Ad League's TOPS, Texas Public Relations Association's Excellence Award, the Women In Communication Matrix awards, the IABC Bronze Quill Award, and the PRSA national award for excellencethe CIPRA. A frequent speaker to business groups and college students, Hart also serves as a mentor for small business owners. A graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism/Clothing Textiles and Interior Design, Hart is listed in Who's Who in Advertising and The Dallas Social Directory. She is a founding member of The National Association of Women Business Owners in Dallas, and serves currently on the Board. She is a member of The Women's Business Council of the Southwest, Public Relations Society of America, The Counselor's Academy of PRSA, The Fashion Group, The Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, The Family Place and the University of North Texas Merchandising School Board of Governors. In 1999, The Hart Agency was nominated as Small Business of The Year by the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and also nominated as a Rising Star by The Women's Business Council. Ms. Hart was nominated by the WBC as Women's Business Advocated of The Year (2000) and is a 2001 graduate of Leadership America. The Hart Agency is certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE). Today, Hart is a strategic marketing consultant and writer collaborating with longtime colleague, Jane Gyulavary, on national PR campaigns. |
